Synopsis

For centuries, Britain’s identity has been tied to what we make with our hands. In Craftland, journalist James Fox travels from the Scilly Isles to the Scottish Highlands to meet the country’s remaining master craftspeople: blacksmiths, wheelwrights, watchmakers, bell founders and more, preserving vanishing skills and traditions.

It’s a beautifully observed journey into how making shapes who we are, and a reminder that in a world increasingly defined by speed and screens, craft still has the power to connect us to something real and enduring.
