Synopsis

A creative career can be rewarding, but it can also be demanding, exhausting and isolating. The Creative Wellbeing Handbook offers a practical guide to sustaining creativity without sacrificing personal wellbeing, helping designers, artists, writers and other creative thinkers rediscover joy in their work and everyday lives.

At its heart is the ‘Creative Ecosystem’, a flexible framework built around five principles: Connection, Wonder, Pause, Movement and Joy. Combining research-backed insights, practical exercises and personal stories, the book draws on contributions from more than 100 creatives across 26 countries, including Stefan Sagmeister, Jean Jullien, Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian and Zipeng Zhu. The result is an accessible resource for anyone looking to navigate the pressures of creative work, avoid burnout and build a more sustainable creative practice.
